This week we had a weeeeek. Everyone came home tired, hungry, and cranky. Luckily dinner was in the crock pot! Did our kids eat it? No… they refused. But I could tell they just needed something to eat to get calories in so I could get my kids back. So, my 6 year old had some peanut butter toast and my 3 year old had graham crackers dipped in milk. We sat at the table eating our different meals but at least then I got some inkling of my kids back, heard about their day, and even had a few laughs.
It was not perfect, but at least we had some connection after a hard day. Maybe tomorrow they’ll eat what’s for dinner. We shall see. ”
